Houdini Sweeps

I’ve been experimenting with the creation of a digital asset for art direct able sweeps controlled via particle simulations in Houdini FX.  The idea behind the asset is relatively simple, lead with a  set of “leader” particles – drop particles behind each of the leaders and assign attributes based on the leader set.  Then append an Add SOP by Attribute to create the animated splines.  To take it a step further, I’ve added in some additional controls for the particles “trails” to be influenced by some curl noise, gravity, etc.  Currently – I’m exploring the integration of VDB’s into the process to create some really unique organic shapes.
